About the Office of the Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Responsibilities of the Provost

The Provost, as Chief Academic Officer, has ultimate responsibility for the academic accountability of all WesternU programs, including matters of academic policy, curriculum, faculty and student affairs.  The College Deans report directly to the Provost.

As Chief Operational Officer, the Provost is also responsible for operational and co-curricular units in support of the educational mission.  Directors of these units also report to him.

As part of the senior management team, the Provost collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and the Senior Vice President to advise the President.
