Association History

History

The Alumni Association was founded on June 12, 1982, as the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) Alumni Association. In the early 1990s, the College had grown to include a School of Allied Health Professions and the future College of Pharmacy. In August 1996, Dr. Philip Pumerantz officially announced the formation of Western University of Health Sciences, and the Association was renamed as the WesternU Alumni Association.

Mission

The mission of the Alumni Association is to actively engage alumni and promote a positive and supportive relationship between WesternU, its colleges, and alumni.
