Pharmacology/Genomics Laboratory

This combined facility is located in both College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and College of Pharmacy. The laboratory is headed by Dr. Nissar Darmani (Pharmacology) and Dr. Ying Huang (Genomics). The laboratories within this facility are capable of performing a number of in vitro and in vivo CNS pharmacodynamic studies involving behavioral, biochemical and genotyping work. (Dr. Huang is leading an effort to understand the implications of genetic variation on clinical drug response and aims at finding biomarkers that guide effective treatment of individual patients).
