Master's/Doctoral Graduates

During this phase of the ceremony, all graduates are to be seated except for those approaching the stage to receive their diploma. At the prompting of the usher, the first row will approach the stage and stand in front of the steps on the far right side of the stage. The ceremony will move from stage right to stage left (as you face the stage). Each graduate will be called to the stage in alphabetical order. A faculty member will be positioned at the stage steps to check the alphabetical order of the graduates before they go on stage.

Graduates:

Family Hooder Floor Passes:

Each graduate will be given two floor passes (with your name on it) for your Family Hooders. Please remember to give the floor passes, with your name on it, to your Family Hooders before Commencement. Important: Remind your Family Hooder that they will need the Family Hooder Floor Pass to participate in the Family Hooding Ceremony. Also, if you have purchased your own academic hood, remember to give it to your family hooder before the ceremony. If you did not purchase a hood, one will be provided to your family member on stage.

The processional will enter the Auditorium through the Foyer and march down the left center aisle towards the stage. The graduates will be seated in Section C.

Recessional:

The participants will exit using the center aisle.

Class photos will be taken immediately following the ceremony in the Gold Room. The College Marshal will lead you to a designated area in the Gold Room. Please stay in line during the recessional to the auditorium.
