Are you standing in line? You can notice and practice this, too. Why are you here? How do you feel? Impatient? Anxious? Is your heart beating faster? Can you normalize it with some breathing?
Who are you listening to? Do they have your full attention? Is your mind wandering? If it is a lecture, are you getting the most out if it that you can? Would adjusting your body help you listen better?
What are you going to study? Notice your location and attitude. Are you focused and ready? Is the space ready for study or are there distractions that will make it hard for you?
