Services for OPTI-West Residents
Remote Access Policy
The library uses a remote authentication system for remote access to electronic resources for OPTI-West residents. To use this system you will need to fill out a remote access request form. Once your application has been approved you will be issued a personalized username and password. This username and password will expire in each year on June 30th, at which time you will need to submit your application again.
It is the responsibility of each user to ensure he or she uses these products only for individual, non-commercial use without systematically downloading, distributing or retaining substantial portions of these resources. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title or the sharing of password information. Violation of license agreements could result in the loss of access for the entire Western University community.

The library provides a document delivery service for OPTI-West residents at no charge. The library will copy and email, via ILLiad, journal articles from the current print collection. This service is not to be confused with interlibrary loans, which covers materials the library does not have in its collection.
When requesting articles using ILLiad please submit no more than 5 requests at a time. Users may only have 5 items in process at a time. Once material comes in, more requests may be submitted.
First time users will need to register here before they can use ILLiad.
To access ILLiad, log in with the username and password you have created during registration.
If you need to reset your ILLiad password, please click here.
