Out-of-State Students Interested in
College of Graduate Nursing Online Programs

The implementation of current Department of Education regulations have an impact on applicants from out-of-state.

We strive to attain authorization to offer our distance programs to students in every state. However, state laws are dynamic and the monitoring of the specific regulations is continually in flux. Prospective out-of-state students should check this often and should contact the College of Graduate Nursing for clarification.

Special Note to FNP and MSN-E applicants: Because you are considering an academic program that leads to professional licensure or certification, it is highly recommended that you seek guidance from the Board of Nursing in the state where you reside, or are anticipating moving to, before program entry. Each Board of Registered Nursing has its own rules and regulations and it is important for you to check with your local BRN before applying to any out of state program. Not knowing the requirements for licensure or certification in your state may hinder your ability to receive certification or transfer your RN licensure to another state at the end of the program.
