At Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Optometry, our goal is to provide significant and comprehensive continuing education that will enhance the attendee’s skills and management of clinical care in all aspects of optometry.  Each of our programs is thoughtfully developed, comprised of quality content, and delivered by experienced and professional educators.

We service local, regional, and national health care providers through various learning styles – lectures, workshops, webinars and online programs.  All of our courses are approved by the California Board of Optometry or by the Council on Optometric Practioner Education (COPE).

Online Continuing Education Courses

24-hour Glaucoma Didactic Certification Course

This online course provides 24 hours of instruction in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of glaucoma. The course meets the requirements for glaucoma regulations as stated in California SB 1406, section 1571(3). This course has been approved by the California Board of Optometry. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

24 CE credits available. Your registration fee entitles you to 90 days of unlimited access to all course materials, including the posttest, which you can take as many times as you need to in order to pass the course. Course content is delivered through video presentations recorded by Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry faculty. 16-hour Case Management Glaucoma Certification Course

This online course meets the requirements for glaucoma certification as stated in California SB 929 (Stats. 2000, ch 676, (3), as required in subsection (a) of CCR section 1571 as well as providing up to 15 credits of continuing education. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

16 CE credits available. Your registration fee entitles you to 90 days of unlimited access to all course materials, including the posttest, which you can take as many times as you need to in order to pass the course. Course content is delivered through video presentations recorded by Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry.  Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your registration, please contact us in writing via fax or email no later than 7 days prior to the event date. You will receive a 90% refund. If your cancellation is sent at least 3 days prior to the event date you will receive 75% of your registration fee. No refunds will be given after that time.
