The discipline of learning…the art of caring.
Message from the Dean
I welcome the opportunity to invite you to campus to visit the future of health care here at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), at Western University of Health Sciences.
Our students reflect the positive impact osteopathic medicine will have on medicine and patient care. Our interprofessional curriculum, composed of case-based, small group learning experiences is preparing our first- and second-year students to be true leaders and members of the health care team.
At the campus Medical Center, a department of the Patient Care Center, preceptors and faculty give one-on-one attention to students and guide them through medical histories and physical exams.
The following departments of:
- Internal Medicine
- Family Medicine
- Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
- Physical Medicine with a focus on pain management
- The Western Diabetes Institute, provide an integrated practice and comprehensive care.
COMP has grown to include an additional location in Lebanon, Oregon. The new 55,000-square-foot academic facility is housed on the Corvallis-based Samaritan Health Services campus.
Please partner with us in exploring and celebrating the many possibilities being both dreamed and realized at the College.
