Cohesive Processes. Predictable Outcomes.

The University Policy Office (UPO)  is here to assist you throughout the creation, development, review and publication of your policies and procedures (P&Ps) to ensure cohesive processes that will ensure predictable outcomes.

UPO serves as the University-wide liaison providing assistance in development of new policies and revision of existing policies and archiving policies identified for rescission. Our principal role is to maintain consistancy within the P&P structure, where as, substance responsibility shall remain with the originating college or department, in general with the Policy Contact, who is responsible for managing the policy and content accuracy. 

UPO provides support at all stages of the policy development. The P&P Administrator promotes the uniformity of P&Ps by applying precise standards for their development, review and approval, thus ensuring that all documentation maintains structure and sustainability.

UPO, in collaboration with the IT Web Development Team, admininsters the University online P&P Website that may be viewed at: Policies & Procedures.

UPO Services Summary

• Provide employee P&P training, one-on-one or group instruction, as requested,
• Provide assistance with P&P format, language, and forms throughout the policy development process,
• Ensure basic P&P review/approval with systematic email reminders,
• Assist with University-wide P&P mandatory review - every three years,
• Provide assistance with Policy Contact and Editor/Reviewer permissions.
