The University's Policies and Procedures (P&Ps) play a strategic role in its decision-making environment for administrators, faculty, staff, and students. P&Ps serve as a means in which the University's business processes are recorded and published. Through a well-conceived P&P system, the University's vision becomes an integral part of its operations. As P&Ps are written, approved, published, and implemented, the University's vision is conveyed.
It is important that the University's P&P are clear, concise, void of ambiguities, and most of all, consistent in all printed/published formats. Clarification of the P&Ps will enhance the overall adherence and enforcement to approved policies. For the purposes of compliance, we need to have up-to-date operating practice information available on our intranet.
The University's policies and procedures, in their essence, are a part of the legacy we will leave to succeeding generations.
