NMM/OMM Pre-Doctoral Teaching Fellow
College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
Scripps College, BA in Biology-Chemistry
OMM/NMM Teaching Assistant, Anatomy Teaching Assistant, Tutoring in various subjects
Before coming to medical school, I danced professionally with the Inland Pacific Ballet for 7 seasons. I had the privilege of performing soloist and principal roles in ballets such as “The Nutcracker” and “Cinderella.”
I have been interested in cardiology, emergency medicine, and sports medicine, although I am very undecided. I’m keeping an open mind to all fields of medicine at this point.
I am so thrilled to be able to participate in the OMM/NMM fellowship program so that I can fulfill my passion for teaching, continue to learn more about osteopathy and manual medicine, and enjoy the company of my fellow fellows. Palpatory diagnosis is a subtle skill, and is the one thing that distinguishes osteopathic physicians from their allopathic counterparts. It allows us to gain more insight into the disease processes of our patients, and to really consider the role that the body’s structural foundation plays in illness. The fellowship will give me the opportunity to learn, develop and fine tune this skill. I’m looking forward to sharing my growing knowledge and perspective with future 1st and 2nd years at COMP!
