Narrative

Dr. Carpio was born and raised in (sunny) Southern California.  After attending California State University, Fullerton for her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Chemistry Minor, she received her dental degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in 2006.  While at USC, Dr. Carpio received several awards and scholarships for academic excellence and clinical service.  She completed a General Practice Residency in Upstate New York at University Hospital in 2007, and opted to remain in Syracuse for an additional year (despite the cold and snow), splitting her time as a faculty attending in the hospital residency program and an associate in private practice.  In 2008, Dr. Carpio returned to Southern California and continued private practice associateship, where she fostered an interest and developed her skill in CEREC and CAD/CAM Restorative Technology.  After having her last of three children (two boys and one girl), Dr. Carpio joined the College of Dental Medicine at Western University full-time to begin her commitment to dental education and patient care.  Outside of Western University, she maintains a healthy and active lifestyle with her family (eat clean, train mean, live lean) and also instructs pre- and post-natal fitness classes.  In her spare time, Dr. Carpio enjoys family Disney trips and dabbles in music (vocal, guitar, drums).
