Narrative

Dr. Jeffrey Elo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certified).  He serves as a board examiner in section IV for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is currently the vice president, secretary, and editor for the Oral and Facial Surgeons of California.  Dr. Elo has authored over 40 publications and abstracts.  He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry.  He then completed his specialty residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center.  He obtained a Master of Science from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry with his thesis entitled, "Implant Success in Distracted Versus Autogenous Grafted Sites."  In addition to his faculty appointment in the College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Elo also maintains a faculty appointment within the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center/School of Dentistry.  Dr. Elo maintains active hospital staff appointments at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.  His surgical interests include maxillofacial trauma surgery, oral and maxillofacial pathology, preprosthetic bone graft reconstruction, management of complex medical patients, intravenous general anesthesia/sedation, corrective jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery and dental implants.
