Research Interest

Professional interests include diabetic lower extremity limb preservation and limb reconstruction. Additional interests include interprofessional healthcare with current involvement in the Western Diabetes Institute Integrated Practice Unit.

Narrative

Dr. Shapiro has spent time all over the United States, having lived in New York; Phoenix, Arizona; Flagstaff, Arizona; San Francisco; Detroit; Oregon; and Southern California. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. On his off hours he enjoys reading, sculpture, traveling, and occasionally hiking.
