Join us on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim to help raise funds for student scholarships. Guests at the "A Tribute to Caring" gala will enjoy a hosted reception with entertainment, along with a sumptuous dinner, an entertaining program, and after-dinner dancing and mingling.
Please consider maximizing your participation by becoming a sponsor. Your tax-deductible sponsorship contribution will publicize your company or organization among its many other benefits. More importantly, your gift will provide WesternU students with the financial assistance they need to achieve their dreams of serving their communities as health care professionals in the humanistic tradition.
WesternU is a thriving academic health center with an enrollment of over 3,900. Alumni, now more than 14,000 strong, are working all over the world, improving the quality of life for patients in their communities.
As the demand for graduate-level health care professionals continues to increase, so does the cost of their education. 81% percent of students enrolled at Western University of Health Sciences have incurred loans to pay for their advanced education and 15.74% of current WesternU students receive aid from scholarships. With the help of donors, Western University of Health Sciences awarded $3,900,000 in total scholarships last year. Every year, the funds raised from "A Tribute to Caring" provide crucial scholarship support for these students' needs.

President and Chief Executive Officer
"I have many goals … the most important one is to evolve into a great, caring, and empathetic pediatrician that develops strong and meaningful relationships with children and their families. As I move forward, I will always remember being selected for this award, continue to represent what it stands for, and continue to embrace my Osteopathic training and all that it has taught me."
-Andrew Picca, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
"This award will help me fulfill my goal of working in underserved medicine in Southern California. Having come from an immigrant household, I recognize that medicine often falls short in reaching minority and underserved populations. I hope that one day I will have the experience and knowledge to bridge the gap between medicine and patient care."
-Kristine Jugo, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
"Thank you for kindly awarding me with the... scholarship, which helps me lighten my financial burden, allowing me to focus more on pursuing my long-term goals such as becoming an ambulatory care pharmacist in a medically underserved area.”
-Sharon Lam, College of Pharmacy
"While going through the... busy, everyday life of a nursing student... I realized my work has a deeper meaning... I am very grateful for the support [this scholarship] has given me in helping to offset some of my expenses and make my education possible."
--Dolly Pham, College of Graduate Nursing
