About the Event

Educating Tomorrow’s Healers
The present day success of Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) belies its humble origins. The institution was established in 1977 as the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), and in 36 short years has grown into an institution comprised of nine colleges and two campuses, each wholly committed to producing, in a humanistic tradition, health care professionals and biomedical knowledge that will enhance and extend the quality of life in our communities.

Today, WesternU is a thriving academic health center with an enrollment of over 3,900 students. Alumni, now more than 11,000 strong, are working all over the world improving the quality of life for the patients in their communities.

As the demand for graduate level health care professionals continues to increase, so does the cost of that training. More students than ever before need help shouldering the financial burden of their education, and the funds raised each year from “A Tribute to Caring” provide crucial scholarship support for those students’ needs.

Please join us November 8, 2014 at the Disneyland Hotel to help raise these vital funds for student scholarships. Guests at the “A Tribute to Caring” gala will enjoy a hosted reception with entertainment along with a sumptuous dinner, an entertaining program, and after-dinner dancing and mingling.

Please consider maximizing your participation by becoming a sponsor. Your tax-deductible sponsorship contribution will provide you with an opportunity to publicize your company or organization, among other benefits. More important, your gift will provide WesternU students with the financial assistance they need to achieve their dreams of becoming health care professionals in the humanistic tradition.
