The Faire will focus on creating productive synergy between health partners dedicated to improving pet care through the discovery of clinically relevant knowledge. We are inviting more than 200 veterinary professionals, industry partners, research collaborators, and faculty from WesternU and the surrounding area. Participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations from WesternU faculty members on topics relevant to small animals and equine medicine (see attached program). Everyone will enjoy a catered lunch so interested parties can discuss specific research interests, develop clinically relevant research questions, and brainstorm solutions to these challenges. Groups with similar research interests will have an opportunity to share their ideas and receive input from the audience. Our guest speaker is Professor Kyung-Sun Kang, DVM, PhD, Professor of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Director of the Adult Stem Cell Research Center at Seoul National University, South Korea. He will be speaking on his groundbreaking research interests in the realm of regenerative stem cell medicine. We would like to offer you the opportunity to attend the small animal and/or equine sessions of the Faire along with the catered networking luncheon. All of the presenting faculty will be in attendance and eager to speak with you about collaboration, research ideas, and common scientific interests. |

Please join us for an informative continuing education presentation designed specifically to satisfy requirements for reciprocity / licensure by endorsement, and for continuing education in the State of California. The topics and duration of the symposium is specified by the California Practice Act (please consult the draft agenda). California temporary licensees with RCP license type must attend the complete conference. Other veterinarians may attend sections of the symposium as needed for satisfaction of continuing education. Due to the dual purpose of the symposium (temporary licensure requirements and general continuing education), all attendees are required to sign-in and sign-out for each day. CE certificates will be individually created and specify the number of hours you attended. Because of the strict attendance policy local lodging is highly recommended. Late arrivals, early departures or absences during lectures time (regardless of the reason) may lead to less than the 26 hours of CE required for reciprocity (make-up time cannot be provided). Attendees will be provided with flash drives or CDs with PDFs of the presentations and all related materials. If you would like handouts in paper form, there will be an additional fee of $15.00 (please indicate your preference when registering). You will need to present a government issued identification to pick-up your registration packet. For temporary licensing status or questions please call the California Veterinary Medical Board at (916) 263-2610.
