Application Process - Transitional DPT ProgramApplication Deadline
Admission to the DPT program is through the Admissions Office. Students may apply for the fall, spring, or summer trimesters.
Students are advised to submit application materials as early as possible prior to the trimester in which they wish to begin their program of studies. Deadline for application materials is no later than 45 days prior to the first day of classes for each trimester. Applicants and accepted students will be given preference to enroll in all courses.
Classes will be open to clinicians who wish to enroll for continuing education on an as available basis.

To download a free copy, visit the Plug-Ins page. The application is now a fill-in PDF form. Simply download the application to your desktop and type in your information. INSTRUCTIONS: Please carefully follow the steps outlined below. NOTE: Your browser must be one of the following: Internet Explorer 4.x and above or Netscape 6.x. Here are some easy steps to save a PDF form on your computer: Tips for navigating the PDF forms: STEP 3: Open and print the Checklist and use as a guide in the organization of your application packet. You may also wish to print blank copies of all forms and complete your first draft by hand. NOTE: The information entered into the PDF forms cannot be saved! Do not close the forms until you are completely done and satisfied with the printed result. Leave the forms open and complete each in one sitting. STEP 4:Open and complete the Application for Admission that you just saved on your computer. STEP 5:Print the completed Application for Admission and proofread. Make any necessary adjustments and print your revised final draft. STEP 6: Open and complete the Statement of Purpose that you just saved on your computer. Print the completed Statement of Purpose and proofread. Make any necessary adjustments and print your revised final draft. STEP 7: Open and print the Sample Curriculum Vitae (CV) that you just saved on your computer. This may be used as a guide in the preparation of your CV. Please feel free to add or remove categories as appropriate. STEP 8: Open and print the necessary number of copies of the Work Experience form. Complete one for each facility you worked in for the last 5 years. STEP 9: Open and print three copies of the Recommendation Form that you just saved on your computer. Please read and sign the waiver section on each evaluation, and distribute one form to each of your three evaluators/references. You must collect hard copy completed evaluations from each reference for inclusion in your single application packet (see Checklist for instructions). SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
Applicants who wish to use course work completed outside the United States must submit their transcripts for evaluation to a Western University Approved Service.
A course-by-course evaluation is required and all course work must be designated as undergraduate, graduate or professional. Western University will only honor evaluations from one of the above services. The evaluation must be included with the application packet. | |
