Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences - Message from the Dean
Western University of Health Sciences has recently embarked on a long-range program to enhance its standing as a graduate university with a new commitment to establish a greater research presence as an institution. The establishment of the Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences (GCBS) reflects an institutional commitment to give the institution a more prominent role in health-related research.
The GCBS was created to train highly skilled and caring biomedical researchers for entry into academia or industry. To that end, the GCBS strives to graduate humanistic professionals who will produce new biomedical knowledge.
The College has as its major objectives:
-
To provide top quality educational programs in graduate medical sciences to enable graduates to obtain the best career opportunities that meet the needs of the State of California and the Western United States; and
-
To link educational and research programs in a learner-centered environment.
I invite you to explore our web site to learn more about biomedical research, our College and the MS-BS degree program.
Sincerely,
Steven J. Henriksen, Ph.D.
Founding Dean
