Supplementary Application

Upon receipt of the AACOMAS application, applicants may be sent an e-mail message containing the supplementary application, instructions, and a standardized form to give to your recommenders. They may use the form or university letterhead if they wish to write a personalized letter of recommendation. The supplementary application and all supporting documents should be received in the Admissions Office within 30 days of the email notification to submit the supplementary application. You will need Acrobat Reader to access this material. For ease of use, the supplementary application can now be completed in Acrobat Reader and printed with your responses. Please be sure to read the instruction form completely before beginning your supplementary application.

The AACOMAS application, together with the supplemental application, letters of recommendation, and official MCAT score, constitutes an application ready for evaluation. You will be notified by email when your application is ready for evaluation. The supplemental application is also available by mail. Please contact the Admissions Office at 909 469-5335 to request one.

Do Not Submit a Supplemental Application until you receive notification from the Admissions Office to do so.

Application Deadlines

AACOMAS DEADLINE: February 1

SUPPLEMENTAL DEADLINE: March 1

Please note: Once the interview process begins, students are admitted to the program on a rolling basis, therefore, students are encouraged to apply early.

Letters of Recommendation

You are required to submit letters of recommendation from a Pre-Health Professions Committee (or the committee on your campus responsible for writing recommendations) and one physician. If such a committee does not exist at your college you are required to submit two evaluations from science professors (i.e., biology, chemistry, physics), one evaluation from a non-science professor and one evaluation from a physician, DO or MD, who you have worked with or observed in a clinical setting. A recommendation letter from a DO is preferred.

The science/non-science letters must be from professors who have instructed you and the recommender should specify the course(s). All recommendations must be on the Western University form provided or on college or professional letterhead
