Post-Masters FNP Program Graduation Requirements

Students will be considered candidates for the Post-Masters FNP Certification provided he/she:
  • Has completed all course requirements with a minimum grade of B for each course (an overall GPA of 3.0).
  • Has completed 675 preceptored clinical training hours. Students must satisfactorily demonstrate all clinical competencies in order to receive "credit."
  • Has complied with all the legal and financial requirements of the University as stated in the University Catalogue.
  • Demonstrated no serious deficiencies in ethical, professional, or person conduct as outlined in Standards of Professional Conduct.

All students must attend in person and participate in the Commencement program at which time the degree is conferred, unless the President of Western University of Health Sciences has granted special permission to waive this requirement. If the President grants special permission to be excused from graduation, the graduate may be required to present himself or herself to the Provost or appropriate Dean at a later date in order to take the required oath (if relevant) to receive his or her diploma.

All graduates must agree to sit for the national certification examination within six months of graduation.
