Applications are available for the entering class of Fall 2009. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2008. All application materials must be received by or postmarked by November 1, 2008.

A course-by-course evaluation is required, and all course work must be designated as undergraduate, graduate or professional. Western University will only honor evaluations from one of the above services. The evaluation must be included with the application packet.

- Signed Technical and Professional Standards Form
- 3 Reference Forms (2 faculty or employers & 1 professional colleague)
- Resume
- Personal Statement, which addresses your motivation for graduate study to become a nurse, personal career goals, and how your background strengthens your aptitude to become a master's prepared nurse.
- Application Fee of $60
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
- TOEFL (if applicable)

Registration Procedures and Requirements
Following completion of the admissions procedure and written documentation of acceptance into the Western University's College of Graduate Nursing, an orientation packet will be mailed directly to the student. Registration at Western University takes place on-line each term. Students are notified in advance of the registration dates.
All tuition and fees must be paid in full on or before the registration deadline each academic year.
Medical Information
All students must be covered by health insurance throughout the program. Proof of health insurance must be provided at the time of registration annually. If you do not have insurance at the time of registration, Western University has plans available from which to choose.
Students must complete and submit verification of the following prior to registration:

Verification of immunization or immunity for: Polio, MMR, Diphtheria/tetanus (within past ten years) and completion of the Hepatitis B series. A recent (within past six months) PPD or Chest X-ray report indicating that the student is free of tuberculosis is also required.

All immunizations must be completed by the time of registration. Students will not be able to begin classes or clinical rotation until proof of required immunizations are received.
- Medical clearance for participation in the program by the completion of Western University's History and Physical form.
- Current CPR certification (throughout the program of study).
