Many prospective students ask, "What qualities are you looking for in a student?" This can be answered with another question, "What qualities do you look for in a health care provider?" Most people believe that a great health care provider is not only knowledgeable, but experienced, compassionate and a good communicator. These are the qualities we seek at Western University of Health Sciences.

A competitive candidate:

Is academically prepared to succeed in our rigorous professional programs.
Is well rounded with diverse educational and life experience backgrounds.
Has shown interest and involvement in the community.
Has knowledge of and/or experience in the field in which he/she hopes to practice.
Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
Has a good understanding of both the profession and Western University.
