How are clinical rotations set up?
Western University's PharmD students start their rotations a semester earlier than most other PharmD programs! Rotations (called the Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience, or APPE) begin with the spring term of the third year (January) and extend through the first term of the fall term of the fourth year (December). A total of seven 6-week APPEs are required. Advanced Electives (AE), or advanced rotations, are 12 weeks in length, and these begin the spring term of the fourth year.
