October 26, 2009**** PUBMED-ALERTS NOTICE **** PubMed has been re-designed! The National Library of Medicine has completely re-designed the PubMed search interface. Because of the re-design, how you search and how you view and manage the results of the search has changed. The underlying functions remain the same, but you will be using different steps to get to those functions. Here is how Pumerantz Library will be helping you. We will provide workshops and training on the new re-design. We can also provide one on one training if you so desire. October 22, 2009 Serials Solutions Downtime (E-Journal A-Z list) Serials Solutions will be down on Saturday, October 24th beginning at 12:01 am PDT for maintenance. October is National Medical Librarian's Month Book Sale The library will be holding a book sale October 13th - 23rd. Human and veterinary medical books will be available. Prices range from 25 to 50 cents. The book sale will be located on the first floor of the library. Fine Free Day Return your overdue library materials on Friday, October 23rd and your fines will be forgiven. September 30, 2009 EndNote X3 for Mac now available for download EndNote X3 for Mac is currently available for download. Each authorized user is permitted two (2) EndNote downloads; one for your desktop computer and one for your laptop. September 17, 2009 ScienceDirect will be unavailable Saturday, September 19th ScienceDirect will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance for approximately 13 hours on September 19th during the period from 5 am to 6 pm PDT. September 4, 2009 Index Veterinarius service outage UPDATE: 9/9/2009 Index Veterinarius is now available. The Index Veterinarius database is currently unavailable. The library is in communication with the vendor to get this issue resolved. August 13, 2009 Wiley/Blackwell server maintenance notification Due to essential site maintenance, access to Wiley/Blackwell may be interrupted for up to 1 hour on Monday, August 17th, at 1am. August 5, 2009 COMLEX and USMLE review books now available in STAT!Ref
