Reference Services
  • Ask a Librarian
    Ask a Librarian is the Pumerantz Library's e-mail reference service form you can submit over the Web. This service is only available to the Western University community and affiliated organizations and institutions. You will receive a response usually within 24-48 hours Monday-Friday and within 48-72 hours Saturday and Sunday.

  • Chat Reference
    The Pumerantz Library Chat Reference Service allows you to ask reference questions live with a librarian using chat software and is available during Reference Desk hours.

  • Telephone Reference
    Telephone reference service is available to answer your quick questions about library services and information about our collection. Librarians can also answer quick factual questions by telephone or schedule database and research instruction.

    Call the library at (909) 469-5323 and ask for Reference Services.

  • Reference Desk
    A Librarian is available at the reference desk during scheduled hours. The reference desk is located in the second floor lobby. Visit the reference desk with your research questions. Database instruction is also available on an individual basis.
  • Research Guides
    Research guides are intended to provide students in campus academic programs a starting point when beginning research at the Pumerantz Library.

  • Tutorials
    Tutorials provide students with step by step instructions on how to search specific databases.
