Pumerantz Library

Entrance

Patrons must register at the guard station located near the library entrance. The guard will issue an identification badge that must be worn at all times. Patron must checkout at the guard station when their visit is complete.

Borrowing

Patrons may borrow circulating materials by purchasing a library signature card for the annual fee of $100.00 (Cost is subject to change). Signature cards entitle patrons to a maximum of three items for a two-week period. Patrons are eligible for one renewal if there are no holds on the item.

Reference

The Reference Office and collection are located on the second floor of the library. Reference librarians are available for limited research requests. In-depth research requests are available for a charge of $20.00 per request. The reference collection is for library use only.

Food and Drinks

Food is allowed on the first floor study area. Patrons are responsible for the disposal of their own trash. Food and drinks are not allowed on the second or third floors of the library. Food found on these floors will be confiscated. Sports water bottles (containing water) with spill proof tops are allowed on all floors of the library.

Journals

Journals are located on the second and third floor and are for library use only.

Library Catalog

Patrons may access the library's online catalog to locate material housed within the library.

Computer Labs

The Teaching Lab and AV-Media labs are for student, staff, and faculty use only. Audio-visual equipment (VCR's, televisions, etc.) are for student, staff, and faculty use only.

Study Rooms

Private study rooms are for student, staff, and faculty use only. Visitors may utilize the open study areas located on the first, second, and third floors.

Computer Ports

Public patrons are not permitted to use the computer ports to plug in laptop computers to access the schools network or the Internet.

Cellular Phones and Pagers

Cellular phones may only be used in the South stairwell. Otherwise cell phones must be turned off or set to vibrate. Pagers must be turned off or set to vibrate while using the library.
