Carol Mack, RN, PhD, AOCN
Dr. Mack is a new part-time Associate Professor in the College of Graduate Nursing at Western University of Health Sciences. She has practiced oncology nursing for more than 30 years in a variety of settings, including both inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and radiation oncology settings and is past president of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing courses as well as numerous oncology nursing CE programs. For the past several years she has been employed by the biotechnology company Amgen, where she worked with cancer drugs under development, first as an educator and then as a regulatory specialist. Now she is delighted to return to teaching.
Dr. Mack received her BSN from California State University, Dominguez Hills and her MN and PhD in Nursing from UCLA. She received a Health-Related Quality of Life Fellowship at UCLA while a doctoral student and is interested in issues involving clinical trials and health related quality of life.
