Dr. Cohen is a part-time Associate Professor in the College of Graduate Nursing and teaches courses in the Doctorate and Master's Programs. She also teaches undergraduate students at Mount St. Mary's College and graduate students at the UCLA School of Nursing. Her clinical expertise is in psychiatric-mental health nursing and she is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has a particular interest in the relationship between the mind-body connection and its impact on health and well being.

Dr. Cohen received her BSN, MN and PhD in Nursing from UCLA. She has an additional Master s in Social Science with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling from Azusa Pacific College and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She works part-time at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Greater Los Angeles in Nursing Education and Research and also with psychiatric patients. She also maintains a small private practice as a psychiatric nurse therapist.
