Sonja Mack RN, MSN, is a full-time faculty member for the College of Graduate Nursing in the MSN-Entry program and the coordinator of the nursing skills and simulation laboratory. Her clinical experience has been focused on care of adults in critical care areas including coronary care unit, surgical intensive care unit and telemetry. Sonja has been instrumental in integrating high-fidelity simulation into MSN-Entry nursing curriculum and creating an interactive learning environment to teach critical thinking, decision making and problem solving. In February, 2008 Sonja presented at the Human Patient Simulation Network conference on topic of facilitating learning and incorporating simulation into nursing education. She remains current in her practice by working in the critical care on per-diem basis.
Sonja is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, International Nursing Association for Clinical Association and Learning, and the Sigma Theta Tau Alumni – Honor Society of Nursing.
