Children's Eye and Safety Month

Whether at home, at play, or on the road, thousands of eye accidents occur every year in children under the age of five, which can cause damage to their sight and even blindness. It is important to know what the dangers are, remove any hazards, and keep a close eye on your child. For more information on how to prevent injuries, please click here.

September 2009

Sports Eye Health Safety Month

September is Sports Eye Health Safety Month and we need to remember to protect not only our bodies while doing sports like baseball and basketball, but we also need to protect our eyes. Safety goggles and helmets with appropriate face shields are some of the protection that can be used to avoid eye injuries. For more information from Prevent Blindness America, click here.
