Description of Academic/Research Interests
My clinical specialty area is in leukemia, lymphoma, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Many chemotherapeutic agents possess very narrow therapeutic indexes and often produce serious side effects. As an oncology pharmacist, my goal is to help patients by trying to deliver these therapies to maximize effectiveness while minimizing toxicity. I am interested in the rational and cost-effective use of supportive care therapies, such as antiemetics and colony-stimulating factors, to reduce chemotherapy-induced toxicities, and the application of systems processes to optimize prescribing patterns and reduce the risk of medication misadventures.

City of Hope National Medical Center
