The office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (C&FR) provides University Faculty, Corporate and Community Foundations and Private Family Foundations assistance in obtaining and providing opportunities for support of programmatic or research initiatives at Western University of Health Sciences.

“Faculty as a client” is the concept by which we work. We have two areas to serve you; Client Services and Client Consulting.

Client services could include:

  • Unleashing your power of discovery by providing you access to the Foundation Directory Online (FDO). FDO is a top search service that can provide you funding sources that you may have never considered.
  • We will post on this site funding opportunities that we come across in the course of our research activities.

  • We will conduct group or individual grant writing workshops designed to help you prepare crisp Letters of Interest or full proposals.

  • We will conduct group or individual sessions on how to best use FDO. We are happy to meet with you in our office to do 1:1 searches.

  • Provide online common demographic statistics most often used in University proposals.

  • Provide online common boilerplate language most often used in University proposals.

Once the concept of your project is approved by your dean we move from services support to working with you as a consultant.

 Client consulting could include:

  • Meet with you 1:1 to gather all of the particulars for your proposal and ensure that the foundation you’ve identified as a funding source does indeed fund such proposals.

  • Drafting a Letter of Interest (LOI) or reviewing your draft.

  • Drafting your proposal or reviewing your draft.

  • For those funded proposals we can provide required reporting (excluding all government grants).

  • Properly steward the foundation supporting your work.
