Avery Briggs

Avery Briggs, BA

My name is Avery, I'm the oldest of eleven children, and we moved around a lot growing up! I went to high school in small town Nebraska (we are talking 700 people in the town), where there wasn't even an option for me to take science or math past a very low level. I quit high school and took my GED at age 16, and it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. After meeting and marrying my best friend, we had two beautiful daughters before I discovered my passion for medicine and my desire to pursue an advanced education. It hasn't been an easy road, and we gained one more daughter along the way, but it has been the best decision I have ever made! I hope to encourage others to pursue their dreams, if I can do it anyone can!
