Beverly Guidry, EdDVP for Enrollment Management & University Affairs

Beverly A. Sanks Guidry, EdD began her affiliation with Western University of Health Sciences in 1982 (at that time known as College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific) as an Admissions Recruiter/ Project Director for the Health Careers Opportunity Program, a federally funded grant. During her tenure at the University, she has served as Assistant, Associate and Director of Admissions, and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Registrar before being named Dean of Student Affairs in 1996.

As Vice President of Enrollment Management and University Student Affairs, she is responsible for administration of the offices of Strategic Enrollment Management/Recruitment, Admissions, Enrollment Data Services, Registrar, Student Affairs and Learning Enhancement and Academic Development. She also taught and served as an Alumni faculty consultant at the University of La Verne in the fall of 2000. Students and alumni credit her diligence and sensitivity for helping open doors for achievement, success and acceptance in their respective fields.

Guidry holds a bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Management, master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Strategic Organizational Development, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne.

Guidry has received numerous awards including the Inland Valley News Celebration of Excellence Post-Secondary Education Award, the YWCA Woman of Achievement Award, and the NAACP Leadership in Education Award. She also served as the Western Regional Director and National Nominations Chair for the National Association of Medical Minority Educators, Inc.; member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, Pomona Valley Chapter; Pomona Fairs Housing Council; and Urban League Advisory Board; currently serves as advisor to the Student National Medical Association at WesternU and academic counselor for high school students in the Academic Academy at Friendship Baptist Church in Yorba Linda, CA.
