Why DNP/PMHNP is right for you!
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) are well-known for being passionate, patient-centered, holistic, and collaborative. At WesternU, our vision embodies the characteristics of a PMHNP: courageous, innovative, and a collaborative mindset. WesternU has a long humanistic tradition of treating patients as people first, treating students as colleagues, and fostering camaraderie among students.

WesternU prides itself on preparing nurse practitioners to work with rural, underserved, and vulnerable populations. You will provide compassionate care to individuals, families, groups, and communities. You will form strong therapeutic relationships with individuals, become familiar with their stories and challenges and change lives for the better.
