By now you have received an electronic invitation to select your interview day. If you have questions or if you need to reschedule your interview and need assistance with rescheduling, please contact <a href=\"cesparza@westernu.edu\">Coral Esparza,<\/a> and she will be happy to assist you.<\/p>\n<p>This year, <strong>The College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) <\/strong>will be conducting both online and in-person interviews. Please note that there are only 4 on-campus interviews offered this cycle. The two options are slightly different, as you\u2019ll see below. It may help to review the two different schedules, but the choice is entirely up to you with absolutely no preference by the Admissions Committee. Please carefully review the information below to get a sense of what to expect from your online or in-person interview. Our online interview platform is Zoom. If you do not have Zoom free versions are available for download. Our on-campus interviews last approximately 6 hours and consist of a welcome from the Dean, an icebreaker, a financial aid presentation, a pre-clinical presentation, an OMM demonstration, a campus tour, an MMI, and the interview.<\/p>\n<p>Your interview will take place on a Tuesday or a Thursday, and you will be able to select the date and time. During the 30-minute interview, you will be asked to draw from personal experiences to formulate your answers. The interview is meant to be a professional exchange of information; questions can be challenging and thought provoking.<\/p>\n\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"relative my-48 md:my-72\">\n  <div class=\"container\">\n    <div class=\"lg:flex px-12 lg:justify-center\">\n      \n      \n                  \n                  \n      <div class=\"w-full px-24 wysiwyg-content xl:w-10\/12 2xl:w-9\/12\">\n        <p>The MMI takes place on the same week as your interview and will last for 30 minutes. At the time you select your online interview day, you will be given the opportunity to select your MMI timeslot. The on-campus interview has the MMI preselected for you. The MMI is a required part of the interview process and is needed to be considered for admission. For online interviews, you will be asked to choose one of four MMI timeslots that take place on the same week as your interview. The MMI session may take place in the morning or afternoon and is a half-hour long. You will be given an overview of the MMI process after which you will participate in two 5-minute interactions with standardized patients. Your knowledge of medicine will not be evaluated. Instructions will be given for each interaction.<\/p>\n<p>You will also be invited to join our COMP &amp; Conversation, which is a pre-interview social which is hosted by our COMP Student Ambassadors. This is an informal evening event designed to provide you with the opportunity to talk with our students. Students will share their experiences at our college and answer any questions you may have. Spouses and significant others may attend with you.<\/p>\n<p>We will confirm your participation in these events; the Zoom links will be sent to you three days before your interview.
