The mission of the Humanism Committee is to promote empathy, respect, and professionalism by advancing humanistic learning practices and supporting an enriching academic and clinical environment.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Enable all CPM faculty, staff, and students to advocate, practice, and manage patient care in a variety of communities, health care settings, and living arrangements with professionalism, compassion, and concern in an ethical fashion regardless of a person’s social class, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, culture, racial or ethnic background.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Areas of focus include but are not limited to:<\/h2>\n

  • Seek learning opportunities that focus on the promotion of our core value of Humanism within the field of Podiatric Medicine, and the healthcare system.<\/li>\n
  • Seek out expertise and collaborative opportunities with other WesternU colleges as well as external organizations.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that CPM students are aware of resources and feel supported by faculty, staff, and administration.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and implement assessments to identify needs and promote the core value of Humanism.
