Provost Search

Western University of Health Sciences seeks next Provost and Chief Academic Officer

November 29, 2022

Provost Search Update

The Provost Search Committee has entered the on-campus finalist phase of the search process for Western University of Health Sciences’ Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Working in conjunction with the dedicated team from AGB Search, the Provost Search Committee reviewed applications following a national search which yielded nearly two dozen qualified candidates. The applicants collectively demonstrated a wide variety of professional backgrounds and academic experiences from the United States as well as internationally. Following off-site semi-finalist interviews, the Provost Search Committee is pleased to bring four candidates forward in the search process for interviews and feedback from the WesternU Community.

Each candidate will engage in a town hall which includes the opportunities for open questions, as well as interviews with various stakeholders including UEOT, Deans, Faculty Senate, Staff Council, SGA, Admissions and Recruitment as well as team members from the Office of the Provost.

The Provost Search Committee will utilize an anonymous electronic feedback form to obtain broad-based campus feedback. The electronic feedback window will be open for 24 hours following each meeting/event and the Provost Search Committee encourages everyone’s participation.

The Provost Search Committee will collate and summarize the campus feedback, providing it to President Farias-Eisner as one factor in his consideration process for appointment of the next Provost and Chief Academic Officer. The Provost Search Committee offers sincere appreciation to AGB Search and the entire WesternU campus community for their support and engagement throughout the search process. We look forward to the selection announcement in the near future.
