CITI certification must be maintained current throughout the research project.\u00a0 Each course has a set of modules that must be completed with an overall score of 80%. CITI will issue \u201ccompletion certificate\u201d for each course completed. See instructions for registering and access to CITI training below.<\/p>\n<p>Please upload a copy of the completion certificates for all researchers (including student assistants) involved in the research project in IRBNet.<\/p>\n<p>Approval to proceed with any research project will be withheld if these mandatory training requirements are not met.<\/p>\n<p>All persons with a significant role in a research project must meet these training requirements. This includes, but is not limited to the following persons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator(s).<\/li>\n<li>Persons named on a study grant or contract proposal.<\/li>\n<li>Persons named as a contact person in an informed consent document or recruitment material.<\/li>\n<li>Persons who obtain informed consent from prospective research participants.<\/li>\n<li>Staff members\/ Students assigned to work with the PI.<\/li>\n<li>IRB, IACUC, IBC members and administrators<\/li>\n<li>Non-WesternU, pre- approved visitors or volunteers \/ researchers listed on an approved protocol.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone requiring access to laboratory or vivarium areas on campus (additional safety training required by EH&amp;S,OAR,or )<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"relative my-48 md:my-72\">\n  <div class=\"container\">\n    <div class=\"lg:flex px-12 lg:justify-center\">\n      \n      \n                  \n                  \n      <div class=\"w-full px-24 wysiwyg-content xl:w-10\/12 2xl:w-9\/12\">\n        <p>The Office of Research Regulatory Affairs (ORRA)\u00a0 is responsible for registering ALL Research Faculty , Staff and Students for required CITI training per area of research; Please contact <a href=\"mailto:researchregulatoryaffairsoffice@westernu.edu\">Office of Research Regulatory Affairs<\/a> to begin the registration process.<\/p>\n<p>One you have been registered, access your courses:<\/p>\n<p><strong>CITI Online Training Access: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/about.citiprogram.org\/en\/homepage\/\">CITI program homepage<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click Log in &gt; LOG IN THROUGH MY INSTITUTION<\/li>\n<li>Select Western University of Health Sciences and sign in using your credentials.
