University Convocation Ceremony:
The official opening to the academic year. You will be formally welcomed as a student by the President, Board of Trustees, University Administration, the Deans and faculty of all nine colleges, the Student Government Association, and staff. Plan to be seated by 8:30 a.m. (30 minutes prior to the ceremony). Doors close at 8:50 a.m. and will reopen after the academic processional, national anthem and invocation – no one will be permitted to enter during this time.Tickets required. See details.
College White Coat Ceremony:
This annual ceremony has become a valued tradition at WesternU and is a “rite of passage” for our new health professions students. You will be cloaked with your first white lab coat in the presence of faculty, administration and family members. The ceremony encourages you to accept the obligations inherent in your scope of practice: to be excellent in science; to be compassionate; and to lead a life of uprightness and honor. Tickets required. See details.
For questions regarding the white coat ceremony, contact Tanisha Hampton, Executive Assistant at email@example.com or (909) 469-8439.
