This is a black-faced ibis (Theristicus
melanopis). During my research on
Patagonian peregrine falcons nesting
along the Atlantic Coast nearby the Strait
of Magellan, I observed these ibices
nesting in large colonies in the same
cliffs peregrines used to nest, allowing for
multiple opportunities to take pictures
like this one.
