An original research article about evolutionary adaptations in the eyes of Northern elephant seals regarding
light sensitivity by Hrvoje Smodlaka, DVM, PhD, associate professor of anatomy, was published in the
Anatomical Record 299:798-805 (2016). An item in the 2016, Vol. 17, Issue 2 Veterinary Outlook
magazine incorrectly described the publication as an abstract. The study may be accessed here:
