Description of events

Convo-Cookout:
This is a social event where you can meet your fellow classmates (students only)

College Orientation:
Meet the administration, faculty, and staff, learn how to navigate the curriculum with the available resources, get the scoop from second years, engage with your new classmates during inter-active activities and more.

Student Processing:
Receive information from various campus departments and take your official ID photo.

University Orientation:
Enjoy a continental breakfast with Dr. Wilson and then hear from University Student Affairs, the Executive SGA board, and learn about student benefits and services.

University Convocation Ceremony:
The official opening to the academic year. You will be formally welcomed as a student by the President, Board of Trustees, University Administration, the Deans and faculty of all nine colleges, the Student Government Association, and staff. Tickets required.

College White Coat Ceremony:
This annual ceremony has become a valued tradition at WesternU and is a “rite of passage” for our new health professions students. You will be cloaked with your first white lab coat in the presence of faculty, administration and family members. The ceremony encourages you to accept the obligations inherent in your scope of practice: to be excellent in science; to be compassionate; and to lead a life of uprightness and honor. Tickets required.

Open House:
Invite your family to the COMP-Northwest campus for refreshments
