Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Dr. Zatarain became a first-generation college graduate when she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at California State University Northridge in 2016. Most recently, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences in May 2021. In efforts to continue her education and stay close to home, she successfully matched with PGY-1 geriatrics residency at Western University of Health Sciences/Los Angeles Jewish Home in Reseda, CA. During residency year, she looks forward to honing her clinical skills to provide optimal patient care, continuing to develop her confidence as a leader, and making a positive impact on her students' learning experiences.
