  • Narrative

My family and I have personally benefited from OMM, and I have witnessed the invaluable utility of OMM amongst patients. I, thus, desire to offer this life-changing option to my future patients, keeping the distinctive Osteopathic modality alive. This necessitates proficiency in OMM, and, therefore, I am beyond thankful to have the great privilege to serve as an OMM/NMM Fellow. I am a huge proponent for a collaborative approach to healthcare and believe that the only way that we can become successful, compassionate physicians is if we support one another, which starts now, during medical education. I hope to inspire future Osteopathic medical students to promote the practice of OMM and that they too will pass this modality on to future generations. I look forward to expanding my teaching and communication skills while acting as a Fellow; such skills will carry over to clinical practice and are crucial to building patient rapport and treatment plan adherence. Given my interest in preventative health and that OMM utilizes the body’s self-healing abilities, I believe that OMM will serve as an irreplaceable tool within my future practice. The OMM/NMM Fellowship provides an invaluable experience that will shape and refine my OMM skills, allowing me to be the most well rounded physician possible, who champions for lifestyle modifications and offers OMM treatment to patients, rather than solely medications.
