    The clerkship is designed to provide various clinical experiences necessary to prepare students to become entry level practitioners. Students are involved with direct patient care activities, providing pharmaceutical care to patients with cardiology conditions. Students are expected to work with other health care professionals to assist with preventing and resolving patient's medication therapy problems. Students are required to present an evidence-based medicine journal club and complete a drug information project during the rotation.

  • Research Interest

    Her areas of research involve: quality of cardiovascular medication utilization and medical care, medication prescribing patterns, patient education and adherence, lipid lowering therapy, acute coronary syndromes (specifically, antithrombotic therapy), and gender bias in cardiovascular disease and medication use.
