Announcing Newly Elected Member of the WesternU Board of Trustees

The WesternU Board of Trustees is delighted to welcome two outstanding new members, Matt Kiel and Christopher Wilson.

Matt Kiel, a Senior Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP, brings significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions. His extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and financial oversight, honed through navigating complex transactions across diverse industries, will be invaluable in ensuring our fiscal integrity and fostering institutional growth. Matt earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

We are also thrilled to welcome Christopher Wilson, an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in strategic management, legal affairs, and corporate governance. As Co-Founder and Director of Emend Healthcare, he oversees a fund dedicated to treating substance use and mental health disorders, managing all operational and acquisition aspects. His proven leadership in corporate governance, financial transactions, and operational strategy will be vital in guiding WesternU’s institutional direction, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving responsible growth. Christopher holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University.

The WesternU Board of Trustees has strategically expanded in recent years, a move that has significantly enriched our collective expertise and experience. The addition of Matt Kiel and Christopher Wilson further strengthens our leadership, bringing invaluable insights critical to our continued success in fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and responsible growth.
