What You’ll See At WesternU
See what Western University of Health Sciences can offer your students! During your visit, you’ll have dinner with current students and Deans, take a focused tour of our campus in the heart of Pomona, and get a hands-on, interactive introduction to our new Sarkaria Medical Simulation Suite.
Free dinner and round-trip transportation are included in your registration.
Our bus will pick you up from the Hilton Anaheim at 4:00 p.m., and you can expect to be back at the hotel by around 8:30 p.m. Once you register, additional logistical details will be provided via email.

Visit Our Sarkaria Medical Simulation Suite
Learn how our students use this innovative learning space furnished with state-of-the-art equipment to develop, maintain, reinforce, and advance their competency in performing core and advanced clinical skills. This suite includes a surgery/operating room, labor/delivery room, and 22 standardized patient exam rooms.
In the Sarkaria Medical Simulation Suite, you will rotate through the following activities:
- Meet HAL® – HAL® sS5301 is the world’s most advanced patient simulator and is one of only six manikins being utilized in the United States and the only one on the west coast. During your visit, HAL® will display symptoms and you will work with other advisors to determine a diagnosis.
- Meet VICTORIA® – VICTORIA® S2200 is the world’s most lifelike childbirth simulator. You’ll work with your colleagues to deliver a baby.
- Virtual Reality – Experience virtual reality in our VizMove Prism immersive training environment room, which has interactive triggers with surround sound, light functions, and the ability to add ambient smells to the room to create a realistic virtual training experience.
